🌱Emma Clark Library Budget 2023 Approved + Robinson’s Tea Room Closing

Here are the four stories of Sancun today:

  1. Robinson’s Tea Room has been permanently closed. The company is located at 95 Main Street in Stony Brook. The owners announced via social media that the closure was due to health concerns. (repair)
  2. Election day is scheduled for November 8. Registered voters can go to various locations in Nassau and Suffolk counties to vote early.   3. The Mini Maniac Youth Triathlon will rock the village this weekend! West Meadow Beach at Stony Brook is the place to go on Sunday, September 24th to watch our young athletes complete a challenging race, starting at 8:30am (patch)
  4. The Emma Clark Library has announced the approval of the proposed 2023 budget. The plan was approved by 420 votes to 70 against. The library thanked the community in a note on its website. (repair)

  • Sea Shanty Music Festival is coming to Port Jefferson! The Maritime Festival will be held at Harbour Park on Saturday, October 1st from noon to 6pm. Please pay attention to the details! (Port Jefferson Village)
  • Stony Brook University: “Looking forward to campus changing color.” (Stony Brook University via Instagram)
  • The Staller Center has released the fall schedule and three big names will be coming to Stony Brook. Among them are the famous Beijing acrobats from the Shanghai Circus, who have been entertaining audiences around the world for 30 years. The group will perform on Centre Stage on Friday, October 7th at 7pm. Tickets can be purchased here. (Great Long Island)
