Singh claimed that the city’s police and the state’s ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government were ignoring Hindu sentiment by supporting Farooq.

The BJP alleges that Kavitha, also the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, played a role in the Delhi excise tax scam and that she acted as a “middleman” between the liquor mafia and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
